Mineral licks are rare in the Amazon Basin and attract many species. They also attract predators in the same way a dry season waterhole does on the African savannah. A coalition is how we refer to Cheetah when they move in numbers. Aside from mothers and cubs, a coalition of Cheetah usually consists of brothers raised in the same litter. There are obvious benefits to hunting as a pair, but there are also inherent risks when females are involved. A dominance hierarchy is established that at times can end the brothers journey together.
